With over 10 years experience in the welding and fabrication trade, Alloy Wheel Repair Cumbria was born out of a need locally and nationally for a reliable structural wheel repair specialist. Using metallurgical knowledge gained over years of structural work, we make repairs that will stand the test of time!
Crack repair
All welding is completed by time served and experienced alloy welders. Cracks are completely removed before being AC TIG welded back up on both sides of the defect, grinding back the root of the weld on the opposite side before filling up. Finally the weld is fully dressed off leaving a wheel that is both aesthetically pleasing and professionally finished.
Buckle Repair
Using specialist machinery designed and built in house by ourselves, we are able to repair almost all buckles and warps in alloy and steel wheels. All damage is locally heated to the materials specific annealing temperature before any work takes place. This dramatically reduces the risk of further embrittlement during the repair.
